A Unique Vision

Rob Blakers has been photographing wild places in Tasmania, the Australian mainland and the USA for over thirty years.

His landscape and wildlife photography and videography reflect the fragile beauty of nature as seen through the eyes and camera of one who knows it in a way that few people today ever will.

Rob's photography portrays iconic Tasmanian landscapes such as the Cradle Mountain-Lake St Clair National Park, the Walls of Jerusalem National Park and Freycinet National Park. However many of the images on this site are from wild and natural places that remain unprotected, including Australia’s biggest rainforest in takayna/tarkine in Tasmania's far northwest. It is hoped that public appreciation of such places will enhance the prospects of their secure reservation.

This web site is a gallery of nature photography - of mountains, rivers, forests and ocean, and of the detail and patterns of nature. It is a representation of some of the best of Rob's work.

All of the photographs are available as archival, fine art prints, or for licensed use online and in publications. Go to the gallery for details. To view the range of calendars, diaries and books that are available for sale go to products.
